Zortrax Smart Vapor Smoothing Device Removes Layering
The Apoller smart vapor smoothing (SVS) removes layer lines from FDM 3D-printed parts.
Zortrax’s Apoller smart vapor smoothing (SVS) desktop device removes visible layering from FDM 3D prints, simplifying postprocessing. According to the company, the vapor-smoothed 3D-printed models resemble injection-molded parts, offering a choice of glossy or matte finish depending on the filament used.
The device features an intuitive touch interface and a chamber that smooths models without damaging their dimensions or details. The device smooths models made of materials including ABS, ASA and HIPS, and works with both acetone and butanone (MEK).
