Caracol Launches Operations in North America With New Texas Facility
The Texas facility will enable Caracol to better guarantee local quality and certifications standards, faster delivery times, dedicated and timely service, and application development support to all North American customers and partners.

After years of developing the market and working with local clients and partners, Caracol has officially launched its U.S. operations with the opening of its North American headquarters in Austin, Texas. This strategic investment enables the company to produce and assemble its integrated hardware and software large-format additive manufacturing (AM) platforms, Heron AM, directly in U.S. This will enable it to better guarantee local quality and certifications standards, faster delivery times, dedicated and timely service, and application development support to all North American customers and partners.
This is just the latest of Caracol’s investments in North America, where the company has already brought together a dedicated local team, joined forces with top tier partners for distribution and parts manufacturing, and plans to triple its operations in the region over the next two years.

The North American market is quickly growing in the adoption of large-format additive manufacturing, and Caracol is proud to play a key role here,” says Francesco De Stefano, co-founder and CEO of Caracol. “Thanks to our new U.S. headquarters and local operations, we’ll be able to push further the limits of this industry by delivering to our North American customers a top quality and locally manufactured technology.”
Caracol has partnered with TyRex Group — a manufacturing and innovative group of companies in Austin, Texas — to open its facility in the region. Caracol says it chose Austin, Texas, because the area has been attracting many leading AM companies focused on technological development and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
This facility is the result of the company’s internationalization project which is being carried out with the support of its strategic, legal and financial advisors Growth Capital, FieldFisher and ICP Americas that coordinated the development of the new governance structure.
The opening ceremony of the new headquarters was held during the Formnext Forum event taking place in Austin. The company opened the doors of the new facility to its partners and customers, and organized live showcasing of its technology and a panel of experts to debate the future of large-format AM.
