Nexa3D’s XiP is its first LSPc-powered desktop 3D printer and it’s designed to offer printing at industrial strength with a desktop size. The company says it has scaled down its production-grade polymer 3D printing technology to make it accessible for all professional users, providing speed, quality and ease of use.

Since introducing its first Lubricant Sublayer Photocuring (LSPc) system for the desktop in November 2021, the company says it has seen demand for the technology expand to product designers and creators looking to increase the throughput and efficiency of desktop 3D printing. According to the company, the XiP was developed to fill this need in the market.

It is said every aspect of the XiP was rethought to heighten capabilities, increase productivity and eliminate the pain points of other resin systems in order for users to access industrial strength at desktop size. Printer specifications include a build volume of 195 mm × 115 mm × 210 mm with a 4.8 L print volume. It also features a high-resolution, 4-K monochrome 9.3″ LCD screen. It offers a 52-micron pixel size, and a 50-, 100- and 200-micron layer thickness.

The company says the LSPc technology enables more productive and accurate 3D printing compared to other 3D printing technologies, and takes that capability to the desktop. With a large build area, 7 times faster print speeds and more efficient postprocessing than comparable commercial technologies, LSPc empowers users to create at the speed of thought, the company says.

The printer features a sturdy aluminum enclosure and reusable material container to give it a sleek look and long-term, upgradable usage in high-volume environments.

The company says every XiP comes with a tool kit comprising hand tools and a roll-out clean work surface. Accessories sold with the XiP are said to extend productivity in an integrated office or lab environment and include a Wash+Cure Station for convenient all-in-one postprocessing at the desktop; a xClean Part Washing Solution, which is said to be more environmentally friendly than traditional IPA solutions; and an XiP AiR Desktop Filter and Purifier for work safety.

Packages for the XiP have been developed for specific needs for professional users, from individual creators to low- to mid-volume dental labs to teams of industrial designers. Each package is designed to enable new users to set up and be printing quickly, including all necessary equipment, accessories, and consumables. Bundle options include the individual package, dental package, team package and team dual package.
