Sigma Additive Solutions Partners With SLM Solutions to Optimize Quality Solutions in AM

Sigma Additive Solutions Inc. (Sigma), a provider of quality assurance software for the additive manufacturing (AM), is partnering with SLM Solution’s (SLM) to advance efficient process qualification and part certifications in the industry.
Sigma’s PrintRite3D quality assurance solution aims to join SLM in serving the quality and analytical needs of customers.
The objective of the integration is to pair SLM’s digital solution software, SLM.Quality APIs, with Sigma’s quality assurance system, PrintRite3D.
According to Sigma, the agreement with SLM is an important step toward establishing a standard for data interchange and advancing the AM industry with consistency-based metrics and analytics. SLM Solutions offers integrated solutions as a metal AM partner.
The partnership announcement follows Sigma’s launch of software-only quality solutions for the support of existing and new equipment from OEMs. The company says its goal for this technology is to create a quality framework for standardizing distinct sensors and images into a cohesive product suite for easy customer accessibility.
