Amerimold 2017 Adds Additive Manufacturing Workshop
The pre-show workshop is just one of the new features of this year’s mold manufacturing event.

Attendees of Amerimold 2017, taking place June 14-15 in Rosemont, Illinois, can take advantage of a pre-show workshop to learn more about additive manufacturing for toolmaking and injection molding. Presented by Paul Bates, manager of the UL Additive Manufacturing Competency Center, the paid workshop will include an overview of the AM industries and technologies; a look at the four phases of the 3D printing process; and activity-based learning on how AM is being applied in toolmaking and injection molding. The workshop is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on June 13.
The mold manufacturing event itself includes several new additions for this year. Amerimold Tech Talks, technical presentations to be delivered on the show floor, will cover topics including additive manufacturing, data-driven machining, automation and CAD simulation. Sessions are sponsored by Autodesk and vetted by Christina Fuges, editor-in-chief of MoldMaking Technology magazine and senior editor of AM. Click here for the Tech Talks Schedule. The 2017 show will also feature in-booth demonstrations for the first time, presented by a selected number of the more than 200 exhibitors.
Pre-registration is available through May 1 and includes complimentary access to the exhibit hall, showfloor presentations and demos, and networking opportunities.
