Sciaky EBAM Produces Parts Ranging to 19 Ft. in Length

Sciaky’s Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) is said to be an industrial solution for 3D printing large-scale metal parts.
EBAM is a widely scalable metal AM solution in terms of work envelope, with part production capabilities ranging from 8" to 19 ft. (203 mm to 5.79 m) in length, the company says. EBAM offers deposition rates ranging to 25 lbs (11.34 kg) of metal per hr. Sciaky’s printers feature Interlayer Real-time Imaging and Sensing System (IRISS), a real-time adaptive control system that can sense and digitally self-adjust metal deposition with precision and repeatability. This closed-loop control helps the 3D printing process deliver consistent part geometry, mechanical properties, microstructure and metal chemistry.
