Hurco offers its 3D Print Head, an optional, spindle-powered wireless accessory for Hurco VMCs that extrudes plastic PLA filament for 3D printing directly on a CNC machine. The portable print head is powered and controlled by spindle rotation and can be easily moved amongst Hurco machining centers.

A new release of the company’s WinMax software adds support for additive manufacturing with the 3D Print Head. The software enables users to develop complex 3D shapes quickly and efficiently with conversational programming. Users can select the WinMax 3D Print button to start the build process on the Hurco CNC machine once the part has been programmed.
