UnionTech PolyDevs Software Prepares 3D Printing Data
The software is intended for use with UnionTech's Pilot series stereolithography 3D printers.
UnionTech, a provider of industrial-grade stereolithography equipment, offers its in-house develop PolyDevs software for commercial 3D printing. The software is intended for use with UnionTech’s Pilot commercial series of stereolithography polymer 3D printers. The Pilot series printers are said to enable good feature resolution and full density in 3D-printed parts.
PolyDevs software enables importing and exporting CAD data, repairing files, performing mesh editing, generating support structures and preparing slice data for the Pilot equipment.
As an alternative to wooden tooling, 3D-printed forms for precast concrete are proving to be more durable and better able to support a large-scale renovation project.
Boyce Technologies was already a leader in manufacturing communications devices, but 3D printing and a partnership with BigRep have helped it remain competitive—first through prototyping, and now in production.
