Stanley Black & Decker has partnered with Sindoh to launch the Stanley Model 1 3D printer. This printer, Stanley's first, is designed to deliver a convenient desktop experience suitable for beginners as well as experienced users interested in prototyping designs and developing concepts.

According to the company, the Model 1 has been optimized for safety, quality and reliability. All moving parts are enclosed within the machine, reducing noise for a quieter print. The enclosure, along with a heated bed, also helps to maintain a consistent temperature and deliver safe operation.

The printer's magnetic extruder head attachment can be easily removed and replaced, and supports a build volume of 200 × 200 × 185 mm. An auto-loading filament system automatically loads and unloads PLA and ABS printing filament. Depending on the height of the completed piece, users can layer colors using refillable cartridges, available in white, black, red, blue, gray, yellow and green.

A 5" color touchscreen display guides users through the print process from start to finishing, including analyzing the print bed position to ensure a level position and accurate prints. The display provides instruction son how to adjust and level the bed by indicating increments for moving the adjustment wheels. Manual leveling is also supported.

Users can connect and control the Model 1 3D printer using a PC connected via USB cable, Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The printer also includes a USB drive for direct printing on the machine. A built-in web camera and internal LED lighting enables users to watch the process remotely on a network via PC or mobile device.

The Model 1 3D printer will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon.
