Sciaky Inc.’s Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) technology is an industrial metal 3D printing solution with approved applications on land, sea, air and space.
Starting with a 3D model from a CAD program, Sciaky’s electron beam gun deposits metal via wire feedstock, layer-by-layer, until the part reaches near-net shape and is ready for heat treatment and finish machining. Sciaky’s EBAM systems can produce parts ranging from 8" to 19 ft. in length and has gross deposition rates up to 25 lbs. of metal per hour.
EBAM is used with the Interlayer Real-time Imaging and Sensing System, an adaptive control system that senses and digitally self-adjusts metal deposition. This closed-loop control is said to enable consistent part geometry, mechanical properties, microstructure and metal chemistry.
