Inert has developed a new line of argon management systems for additive manufacturing. The gas systems automate control over atmospheric conditions, helping to avoid catastrophic events by purifying and recirculating argon. According to the company, consumption can be reduced by as much as 60 percent with the systems. Other benefits include the creation of a safer, more predictable working environment.

The line includes Argon-1, Argon-2, Argon-10 and Argon-20 gas management systems, all of which achieve working environments of less than 1 ppm O2 and H2O purity levels. Features include automated purifier column-valves, a PLC control system by Siemens, a color touchscreen, a trending screen to track O2 and H2O values, and integrated oxygen and moisture analyzers. Eco-mode features enable timed shutoff of the vacuum pump and automated blower speed control, adjusted for real-time O2 levels. The systems are designed for easy integration with existing equipment and can be customized for manufacturing and research applications.
