The two materials have been developed in partnership with filament manufacturers.

Type A Machines, a manufacturer of fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printers, has announced two materials designed to provide ease of printing, consistency and durability for 3D prints. The materials, EverydayPLA and PerformancePLA, are in partnership with filament manufacturers 3DomFuel and Breathe3DP, respectively.

EverydayPLA was designed to meet the needs of users within the prototyping, educational and additive manufacturing marketplace. The filament is said to be easy to print and low odor. It does not require a heated bead, and produces a good finish, the company says. It is designed for ease of extrusion, good bed adhesion, low warpage, and color and diameter consistency. Available colors are blue, black, white, gray, orange and yellow.

PerformancePLA is designed for durability and suitable for final part production. The filament has a higher impact strength and is less brittle than standard PLA, the company says. The material also resists warping and curling. It is available in black, white, gray, green, red and orange.
