Lattice design software developer nTopology has released Element 1.0, a solution within the company’s Element Pro software that supports the creation of single and dual-surface conformal lattices. The software enables users to create and tessellate rules that have surfaces; drive lattice variability using surface modifiers; and change the topology of a mesh using the remesh tool.

nTopology’s Element Pro software offers powerful editing, analysis and data interchange features for lattice design, the company says. Pro modules are available á la cart or as a full package.

Element Pro modules include: lattice graph interchange for importing, exporting and analyzing lattice structures; a rule builder and library for creating and storing lattice topologies; stochastic structures for generating random, pseudorandom and semi-random lattices; a vector field module for generating surface and conformal lattice topologies following user-defined vectors along a CAD surface; offset thickening for generating and thickening lattice beams with non-round cross-sections; and CAD interchange for importing and exporting native CAD.

nTopology also offers Element Free, a limited selection of lattice design tools available as a free, permanent Windows application.
