METAV 2016 to Showcase Additive

The 19th edition of the show will include an additive space as well as a co-located 3D printing event and award presentation

The next edition of METAV, the International Exhibition for Metalworking Technologies, will include an Additive Manufacturing Area to showcase processes, materials and service capabilities related to 3D printing. Organized by the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association, the 19th annual exhibition will take place February 23-27, 2016, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

With the Additive Manufacturing Area, the event is expanding its presentation of production technology for all sectors, particularly the manufacture of metal components, for mechanical engineering, aircraft, automobile and tool manufacturing, and medical technology.

Other additive features at METAV will include Inside 3D Printing 2016, being held February 24-25 in conjunction with the show, as well as the presentation of the 2015 International Additive Manufacturing Award (IAMA). AMT—The Association For Manufacturing Technology and the VDW premiered the IAMA at IMTS 2014, and as of 2015 it is being jointly awarded on an annual basis.
