Machine tool manufacturer Sodick Inc.and its partners, the City of Schaumburg, Northern Builders and Harris Architects, have announced the construction of a new U.S. corporate headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. The 40,000-square-foot facility will be constructed on a five-acre lot near I-90, and is scheduled for completion in July 2017.

The new headquarters will nearly double the size of the existing facility, and will include an additional loading dock to better accommodate increased sales volume, Sodick says. Additionally, the facility will feature an expanded EDM showroom, engineering bay, and a dedicated additive manufacturing technology center to house Sodick’s OPM line of metal 3D printers.
