Want More 3D Printed Parts? What's Next for The Cool Parts Show

Season 1 of The Cool Parts Show highlights topology optimized spine implants, custom shoe insoles, a 3D printed build plate for powder bed fusion...and there’s more to come!

Earlier this year the Additive Manufacturing team had an idea. As a media outlet, we get to see cutting-edge applications and experimental uses of 3D printing on a frequent basis. Part of the job is sharing those applications and use cases with our audience...and what better way to do that than through video?

That idea turned into The Cool Parts Show, a video series that highlights those innovative, unusual and weird parts. Each episode is an opportunity to talk about not just what the part is and how it was made, but what it suggests or illustrates about 3D printing’s potential. So far we’ve covered a fuel injector nozzle, topology optimized spine implants, a piece of flooring removal equipment, custom shoe insoles and a 3D printed build plate for powder-bed fusion. Find all of these episodes on YouTube or gbm.media/coolparts

We’re just one season into this project, but there is more to come! Cohost Pete Zelinski, videographer Austin Grogan and I are already working on Season 2, and there will be other related videos coming in the meantime. Take a moment to subscribe to our YouTube channel or e-newsletter, and stay tuned.
