Sinterit Introduces PA11 Powder for Its Desktop SLS 3D Printers
The impact- and chemical-resistance material is suitable for functional moving parts and other durable applications.

Sinterit, the manufacturer of the Lisa SLS desktop 3D printer, is introducing PA11 Onyx powder for this printer. The material is a high-performance polyamide-11 lightweight bioplastic produced from plant-based renewable resources. The material is suitable for use with the Lisa 3D printer because of this system’s nitrogen chamber, the company says.
The material offers high impact, abrasive and chemical resistance for long-term use in hostile environments. According to Sinterit, the material has high elongation at break, making it a suitable solution for functional moving parts, enclosures, latch systems, handles, sporting goods, hinges, fall-proof elements and cases such as the military glass case pictured above.
