Mold manufacturing will connect once again at Amerimold 2021, with new scheduled dates of Sept. 22-23, 2021, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. As the premier event for mold manufacturing, Amerimold 2021 is where moldmakers come to together to network, build brands and learn from the industry's best.

Amerimold will take place during a potentially booming recovery period. Despite the current pandemic, economic projections forecast a potential rebound for the potent moldmaking industry in the U.S. According to Steve Kline Jr., Gardner Business Media’s chief data officer, a potential upside of $500 million per year in U.S. mold production is possible once economic conditions return to normal.

“Based on the Gardner Business Index, the plastics processing and moldmaking industries are the first in manufacturing to start growing after the start of the pandemic,” Kline says. “As more plastic part production moves to the U.S. due to the shift in global supply chains, the U.S. moldmaking industry should see favorable conditions. Further, based on historic trends in mold production and imports, there is a potential increase of $500 million in domestic mold production just due to less reliance on foreign mold suppliers.”

The trade show, which has been running since 1999, connects thousands of the top owners, management, production personnel and engineers involved in the complete life cycle of the design, manufacture and maintenance of a mold. The event includes an exhibit hall, a diverse collection of Amerimold Tech Talks and various supply chain sourcing events to connect buyers and sellers of necessary manufacturing services.

As a special bonus, Amerimold 2021 will be co-located with three programs that can give immeasurable value to show attendees. Molding 2021 will feature industry leaders discussing the latest developments and various molding processes, equipment, materials, tooling and management techniques that are driving the industry, with a special emphasis on adding value to your business. Gardner Business Media’s Extrusion Conference will showcase a robust conference program and exhibitor base. Finally, Rotoplas, which is presented by the Association of Rotational Molders, will complete the lineup and provide attendees with a more comprehensive educational experience.

“We are excited to bring all of these plastic processing events under one roof,” says Allison Miller, director of events for Gardner Business Media. “After a difficult year due to COVID-19, the market is thirsty for discovery and innovation, and we feel offering more technologies and business solutions in one location is exactly what attendees will be looking for in 2021.”

Registration for Amerimold 2021 will open next year. Further event details are available at www.amerimoldexpo.com.
