EOS provides a range of software for additive manufacturing (AM), including EOSPrint 2 for job and process management, EOState for monitoring and EOSConnect for industrial connectivity. According to the company, these programs provide the tools to integrate industrial 3D printing into manufacturing processes, enabling flexible production and increased efficiency.

EOSPrint 2 is an open CAM tool that optimizes CAD data. With data preparation software like NX or Magics, it offers an AM CAM environment for production-ready design. New features, such as Z-segmentation and exposure patterns, promote the integration of AM into serial production. A reference point calibration feature sets the same zero point across different machine types, such as milling and turning machines and industrial 3D printing. The design of experiments set-up feature also enhances material and process development.

EOState is an automated, four-tool multi-monitoring suite that provides real-time quality assurance of production and quality relevant data. The Exposure OT tool provides real-time, camera-based monitoring of the build process to map parts of any geometry and size layer by layer. This reduces costs for non-destructive examination in computer tomography after the build process, as potentially defective parts can be rejected earlier. The MeltPool tool is designed to display the melting process by measuring the light emissions of the meltpool with sensors during the build. The system processes and interprets the data, enabling users to advance research and process development or optimize manufacturing methods.

The company’s solutions can be connected to on-premise MES/ERP solutions and serve digital marketplaces and IoT platforms. EOSConnect gathers machine and production data, making it available in near real-time. An app visualizes the data in a dashboard. The connectivity helps companies seamlessly hand over production data to computer-aided quality systems, so they can validate their production processes for secure traceability. The visualization and readout of real-time production KPIs can also help increase productivity.
