Arburg’s Freeformer 3D printer processes qualified standard granulates to functional parts. The open system of the Arburg Plastic Freeforming process enables users to qualify original materials and optimize programmable process parameters for the application. The system saves and analyzes process data, and can optimize designs to quickly produce cost-effective prototypes and functional parts. In addition to amorphous standard granulates such as ABS, PA and PC, its material range includes elastic TPE, the high-temperature plastic PEI, medical PLA, aviation industry-approved PC and semi-crystalline PP.
