With a week left before the event, the Additive Manufacturing Workshop at the Detroit Auto Show is expanding. Conference organizers announced that, because of the overwhelming response, extra seating is being added to accommodate more attendees.

Ford, Siemens, Hackrod, Carbon, Desktop Metal, Renishaw and Sodick headline the program. Topics include full-scale production, industry trends, 3D moldmaking, holistic manufacturing and more.

“The excitement for this event demonstrates how important additive technology has become to the automotive industry,” says Dave Necessary, event director. “We are very happy with the response and expect continued growth as more applications are found.”
