Additive Industries, the developer of the MetalFAB1 system for metal 3D printing, sees additive manufacturing as a means of achieving higher productivity and lower costs per part in industries including aerospace, automotive, medical implants and high-tech equipment. Its MetalFAB1 combines multiple 3D printing and postprocessing steps into one automated system, and is designed as a machine tool for production.

Daan Kersten, co-founder and CEO of Additive Industries, will share the company’s success with the MetalFAB1 system at the 2018 Additive Manufacturing Conference taking place September 11 and 12 in Chicago. The presentation focuses on the company’s four metrics for measuring productivity: availability, utilization, rate efficiency and quality efficiency.
