Sandvik Osprey offers gas atomized metal powder suitable for AM, MIM and HIP applications in amounts ranging from small development-scale batch sizes to high-volume batches for large-scale production.
According to the company, the powders offer spherical morphology and size distribution tailored for flow and high packing density. These characteristics, along with low surface oxide levels, are said to make them well-suited for additive manufacturing operations.
Offered powders include stainless steels, tool steels (including maraging steel), nickel-based super alloys, cobalt alloys, low alloy steels and copper alloys. Aluminum alloys are currently under development.
