Korea-based HS Hi-Tech, a manufacturer in the semiconductor industry, is partnering with Z3DLAB, an additive manufacturing company headquartered in France, to open a center for industrial digital additive manufacturing. The joint venture will create a one-stop digital manufacturing center within Z3DFAB’s facility in the Dongtan-Myeon area. Accommodating both polymers and metals, the additive manufacturing center will support AM production, cleaning and postprocessing of industrial parts.

Z3DLAB has committed to a $10 million investment over 2 years to support the center. The company intends to be ready for medical manufacturing during the first part of 2017 with a specific cleaning process and ISO 13485 certification, and will reach top AM certifications by the end of 2017.
